Library and NILAM
It's been a while since the last time I update. I'm kinda busy prepared for the mid-year examination. However, all the effort in study yielded a good results. I score 7A's and 1B for this examination. Thanks to my teachers who teach me alot of new things and also my friend and family who always beside me whenever I need thier help. My friends, Mibroh and Aisyah who always stay for hours; accompany me to study at the school's library.
Talk about school's library, I prefer studying in library more than stuying in the canteen like the others usually prefer. Library is the most frequent place I visit for the whole 3 years been in this school. I very much love the environment in the library, even though sometimes it is pack with other people but the librarian manage to keep the library in silent.
In the library, the part I love the most is, I easily can search for the books I want. Puan Inthira (our library teacher, also our Geography teacher) improvise the library by sticking the indicator on the books shelves and the books display according to each subject. For example, Bahasa Malaysia, English, Pendidikan Agama, Home Economics, History and etc. For me, its a nice place to search for any books I want. Our library also manage to organize the annual program such as NILAM program. However I never won.
NILAM is an intensive reading program planned for all pupils in schools. The motto for NILAM program is "Nadi Ilmu Amalam Membaca" (NILAM is an acronym for the motto) or " Reading is The Heartbeat of Knowledge." Each school have their goals. For highschool student, we must at least read more than 200 books. For standard 1 until 3 at least 30 books, standard 4 until 6 at least 60 books. Meanwhile, for middle school standard must at least 100 books.
However, theres still alot of student didn't participate in the NILAM program; thought it just a lame annual program. Even though, our headmaster always talk about the program every morning in assembly. Theres still no difference. Im just hoping as the Education Minister will improvise this program make it more official to the students and the pupils.
Thats all for now. Happy Fasting to all Muslims and Muslimah around the world.
Assalamualaikum.
Peace upon to you.
